Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Çanakkale Faculty of Applied Sciences, firstly, upon the letter of the Ministry of National Education dated 6/5/2013 and numbered 847956, according to the additional article 30 of the Law No. 2809 dated 28/3/1983, the Council of Ministers dated 6/6/2013. and in accordance with the decision numbered 2013/4945, it was established as School of Çanakkale Applied Sciences and started its activities. In the following years, Museums and Cultural Heritage Management (2014), Fashion Design (2015), Fisheries Technology (2015), Food Technology (2015) and Energy Management (2015) Departments were established. With the inclusion of Social Work and Health Management Departments from the Faculty of Political Sciences of our University in 2016, it has reached a total of 7 departments. However, the Depatment of Fashion Design was later closed. The name of the Department of Museology and Cultural Heritage Management has been updated as Museology.

With the "Decision on the Establishment, Closing or Renaming of Faculties, Institutes and Schools Depending on Some Higher Education Institutions" published in the Official Gazette dated March 28, 2020 and numbered 31082, Çanakkale School of Applied Sciences was closed and instead Çanakkale Faculty of Applied Sciences was established and continues its activities. Currently, education and training activities are carried out at the undergraduate level in the departments of Food Technology, Health Management and Energy Management.
